| MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT KUNDALINI
What about the Kundalini horror stories? Shouldn't we be wary? |
| There's an evolutionary purpose behind Kundalini. Why else has this amazing mechanism been included in the body's arsenal of healing tools? A design flaw or an evolutionary mistake? Hardly. Whether it's always been part of the body or it evolved slowly, it's there, just like the prehensile thumb. And just like the prehensile thumb, it's a practical tool for personal and universal evolution, first and foremost for healing our unhealthy, neglected bodies. That's right, before we wish for anything fancy, like expanding consciousness, visions of dancing monkeys, or merging with the Great Chain of Being, we need to know ourselves, in fact, we need to heal ourselves. Kundalini provides a second-chance, a kind of warranty for our ailing bodies. |
So why all the horror stories? Well, I've studied the so-called horror stories, and quite simply most of them stem from the haphazard approaches used to awaken Kundalini. And that's exactly why we should be wary of horror stories. Not only are the results so varied, they are often incomplete. Moreover, many awakenings have only been temporary. That's not to say that they weren't useful, interesting or genuine. They were. The problem is not that Kundalini can't occur spontaneously; the problem is the methods for raising Kundalini have lacked consistency. To produce consistent results, the method for raising Kundalini must be standardized. That's where RM comes in; it's standardized. And standardization means reliability and permanence.
